Baseline

A reviewed state of an agreement at a point in time, such as B1 before an amendment and B2 after it.

A baseline is a confirmed set of agreement facts at a point in time. It records which sources support the current fields and which prior facts remain in history.

In the sample, B1 is the confirmed state after SOW-S1. B2 is the later confirmed state after Amendment A1 changes the fee and notice period. B2 does not erase B1.

In Agreedio

Agreedio uses baselines to keep current terms, amendment effects and superseded history separate instead of continually rewriting one summary.
