Governing source
The source document or version a reviewed record uses for a current field, rather than the newest upload.
A governing source is the source a person has selected as controlling a particular field or rule in the register. It may be the original agreement, a signed amendment or another reviewed source.
The newest file is not automatically the governing source. In the sample, Amendment A1 governs the fee and notice period after confirmation, while SOW-S1 still governs the term end.
In Agreedio
Agreedio stores governing-source choices with source excerpts and confirmation state so later uploads do not silently rewrite current terms.
